Happy Halloween!

This was possibly the funnest Halloween I have had in a long time...maybe it is due to the fact that we actually DID something this year. I know, weird how that works. So, (Drum Roll Please) here is what we were!TA DA! Mr. and Mrs. Incredible, and don't we look incredible. We even practiced for our action shot pictures as you can see above.
And I wore my costume at work as well. My boss Jason donned a Uncle Sam hat for the occasion, Amy was a witch (her eye make-up was awesome), and Susan was Baby Spice (or Brittany Spears or Hannah Montana if you ask my boss)

Then we wen to a very fun party of my friend Brittney Blanch, who by the way is completely obsessed with the Halloween Holiday. She and her husband Adam drove 6 hours to come to this party! Thanks for inviting us guys, we had a blast.
Here were all the people at the party. I only know like three of them and their significant others, but we did have some sweet costumes. As you can see we had everything from Top Hats to Eighties and everything in between.

Our Friends Kody and Cherri were Woody and Jessee.

Luigi and Mario (Adam and Brittney), Woody and Jessee (Kody and Cherri), and us

These are the delicious strawberry ghosts we took to the party. They were a big hit and I must give credit to Nate for this because he did them all.
Then we went to the Trunk-OR-Treat for our ward and the Pugmires dressed up all in Starwars attire. I love that her two oldest boys are Jedis and her youngest is Yoda. SO CUTE, as you can see below.

He truly looks wise.

My Apartment and the Ghettoness Thereof. And it Came to Pass...

So as most of you know I work at a flooring store, so I finally got the guts to ask my landlords (the sweetest old people you will ever meet) if, instead of paying our rent for the next 2 1/2 months, we could use that money to replace the carpet. They said yes! And so lets do a before and after comparison, shall we...(Bob and Haley you will recognize the photos all too well),
BEFORE LIVING ROOM: Lovely brown sculpted carpet that has been in here for who knows how long. Check.

AFTER LIVING ROOM: New Carpet! It is nylon (better wearing), not too long (to avoid matting), and with a fleck (to hide dirt), also it has a Permasheild for stain resistance. (Can you tell I repeat this to people every day at work?) Yeah, what an improvement, but wait, it gets better...

BEFORE OUR BEDROOM: Blue floral wallpaper. Check

Tan patterned carpet with a duct tape transition into the hall. Check.

AFTER OUR BEDROOM: Same carpet as the living room and new paint! It looks and feels so much better! We don't feel so boxed in and it really lightened it up! (Thanks Amy for helping me choose paint) BEFORE GUEST BEDROOM:

Whitish-tanish carpet that was not put down with tack strip but nailed to the baseboard. Check

Scary woodland creature animal wallpaper. Check. (Go ahead, enlarge it, I dare you, you will see the woodland creatures I am talking about).

AFTER GUEST BEDROOM: New thick green carpet AND also new paint! Again, it really lightened up the place. Not that the yellow-tan wallpaper wasn't great, but we do live in a basement, we need all the light colors we can get.
So I have decided it all comes down to this:

New carpet: 2 1/2 months of rent

New paint: another 1/2 month of rent and 3 days of back breaking labor ( have you ever tried to peel wallpaper off the walls that was put up in 19-never? Yeah, its rough.)

Living with carpet adhesive and paint fumes: a few lost brain cells and a few sleepless cold nights sleeping on the living room floor with all the windows wide open.

Not having to look at the woodland creature wallpaper ever again: Priceless

My Husband is Cutest

So, I am kind of a freak when it comes to going to school. I have always been blessed to do well in school, but when it comes down to doing the assignments i just tend to work myself up into a tissy (just ask anyone in my family). I think the worrying helps me to push myself so I can do well, or maybe it just makes me a crazy basket case and gives me an ulcer. Either way Nate-o has to listen to my endless list of frustrations when it comes to doing big projects and an endless babble of "I hate school" "I don't want to do this" "I wish school was over". So what does he do?

He buys me flowers. When I asked them what they were, he said they were beautiful fall daisies.
Man, I am one lucky girl.
If I didn't marry my Nate-o I am pretty sure I would have ended up a sad old maid with lots of cats (and I hate cats), Because he is the only person in the world that really knows me and loves me anyway, and ladies and gentlemen, that IS saying something.

Nate's 26th Birthday and Purple Potatoes

So Nate turned the big 2-6 yesterday. He was really excited, as you can see in the picture. We didn't do too much, just had a nice dinner at home and I made him this delicious Black Forest Cherry Cake. It was pretty much awesome. Also, with our meal we had our purple potatoes from the garden. Yeah, purple. The plant leaves were purple so I was hoping for red but no, they are purple. And not just the skins either, they are purple ALL the way through. Weird I know, but here are the pictures to prove it. It is not everyday that you get to eat purple mashed potates.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY NATE-O!

Fresh Anything is the BEST EVER!

So as previously mentioned, Nate and I have been doing a community garden this year, and can I just say I Love it! What is better than fresh produce? So FINALLY we got some tomatoes (Aside from the corn, this was my favorite thing), look how delicious these guys look!

And so what did I do with them? Of course, I made my own Marv and Joe. It was delicious. Okay, so the bread was not as good as Hazel's Homemade, but the tomatoes were DEFINITLEY better. We also made BLTs which is like one of my most favorite things to eat. Yummy, I love having a garden.

We also have WAY more cucumbers and squash then we know what to do with, so if anyone is interested in having some PLEASE let me know and I will hook you up.

Sisters, Sisters, There were NEVER Such Devoted Sisters

If you sang my title, then you are on the right track. So all I have to say is that my sisters are pretty much AWESOME! And I am going through withdrawals since they have left again.
Let me explain: My oldest sister Nicola is turning 30 this year and she wanted to something SWEET for her birthday. So, what did she decide to do? (drum roll please)... A SISTER PARTY!!!
Therefore, from August 3rd to the 5th, the five of us (yep that's right FIVE) hung out. Nicola made us shirts which say "We're kind of a Big Deal" on the front and "Robison Sister Party '09" on the back. She made us CD's with pretty much the best songs that have ever came into existence from "For the Longest Time" to " All you Single Ladies" to "The Tapioca" (which I have been listening to since the party was over). AND we got to hang out for three days straight! Can Life get better than this? I Submit that it CANNOT!
1st Day of Sister Fun: We went to Bear Lake and swam, built a poop castle and a poop wall (don't ask), went on a Large Surrey ride, Ate delicious raspberry shakes, and went the Pickleville Playhouse to watch a play "Annie Get Your Gun"
2nd Day of Sister Fun: We wore our matching shirts (matching, matching green squared), went to the movie UP, ate good food, watched Audra play volleyball, and ate more good food, watched a funny movie, and stayed up WAY past midnight.
Here we have Nicola, me, Adrianna (AKA Susan), Tara, and Audra

3rd Day of Sister Fun: We ate delicious food, Nicola gave us pedicures, and we partied like it was 1999.

To say the least, my sisters are hilarious and I am SO glad I have them. And its true, We ARE kind of a big deal.

4th of July Slash Dad's Birthday

My Dadio's Birthday is on the 2nd of July so I always incorporate it with the 4th. We had a really good time this year. I made my Dad a WAY good Peanut Butter Cheesecake, combining his two favorite things-Peanut butter and Cheesecake, and we just had a dinner at my house. For the 4th my brother and his family came to my parents and we did fireworks. Every holiday is much more fun with little children.

Jess and Adrianna shooting me with pop fireworks. They look like a secret agent duo.

The neices and nephews.

Playing games for my dad's birthday. Doesnt Jess look so happy? My mom on the other hand does not appreciate his lack of respect for the space bubble.

The Mom and Dad

AND...The delicious Cheese Cake!

Lagoon Day

So for all of you who don't know about Lagoon, you are really missing out because let me tell you what, it is awesome@! AKA ghetto and white trash. My dad gets passes every year through his work and he and my mom didn't want to go this year (Shocker) so they gave their tickets to us. So Nate and I went with my two sisters and my brother. What can I say but I think that it is getting MORE ghetto, if that is even possible. But, it was pretty fun, we got to ride all the fun thrilling rides and then we left. So here is our one picture to prove we were there.

The Garden

Nate and I planted a garden this year! There is an extention through USU that does a community program. So we paid $30 and got to plant a bunch of vegetables. I am way excited for the end of the summer when we will get to eat all these delicious things. It has been really fun too.

FaMiLy VaCaTiOn!

So for the Robison Family Reunion this year we went to Bryce Canyon. I thought it was about time considering I have lived in Utah my whole life and have NEVER been there. I know, I lead a sheltered and pathetic life. There were tons of people there from different countries too, I heard German, Chinese, and Italian. All in all it was a great time, minus the mosquitos that ate us alive, and the bitter cold first night, and the rain. Still, it was fun to get together with the family, but entirely too short of a time. Just to warn you there are quite a few pictures to follow. What can I say? I love taking pictures.

The Fam on a big rock.

I know....another picture to add to the bad photo album. Let's just keep in mind that we were camping...and we took it ourselves.

Little Brother standing on a ledge.

The Fam around the campfire making s'mores.

Dallin, thouroughly enjoying his s'more.

The little kiddies exhausted after the hike.

Okay so my sister Audra is a Super Sweater (SSA: Super Sweater Association), but also my sister-in-law Jen can give her a run for her money. Granted Jen was carrying a baby on the hike, but don't be fooled, she sweats this much all the time. This is our photo of comparison. I am pretty sure Jen takes the cake, her sweat is about to hit her belly. I am sure they will both appreciate this photo.

My cutest baby niece Katrina

The awesome landscape.

Again, the landscape.
...Landscape

The Sisters.
Audra, Adrianna, Tara, Nicola, and Me.

Nate holding my nephew Dallin. He was terrified the whole hike, he thought he was going to fall off a cliff. Don't worry, he made it to the end.

My neices, Haylee, McKayla, and Alena

The Fam! Audra, Nicola, the Dad, Susan (Adrianna), the Mom, and Tara.

This is my brother Mike holding up this huge rock...Okay not really, but the picture looks pretty sweet.

Audra, as you can see, she loves nature.

The Mom and the Dad (Can you tell we have been camping?)

Nate in front of the Hoodoos (that is what they are called I learned) Aren't they amazing?

My sisters hiking. Tara, Nicola, and Audra

Dallin, Alena, and Haylee in one of the many caves along the hike.

Here are some sweet trees that are growing right up through the middle of the canyon.

Alena, Dallin, and McKayla

Nate in the canyon

Nicola and I at the beginning of the hike.

The Dad. Always ready to take a picture (I guess that is where I got it from)

My sister-in-law Jen (don't mind the pink hair, she REALLY is old enough to have the baby she is holding, even though she looks like a 16 year old punk rocker. She did it for her 30th Birthday) And my cutest baby neice Katrina also with my cutest other neices Mckayla and Haylee.
Well that is about all, gotta love the Fam, and I do.
